"At the begining of this cycle of time, long ago, the Great Spirit came down and He gathered the peoples of this earth together and He said to the human beings: "I’m going to send you to four directions and over time I’m going to change you to four colors, but I’m going to give you some teachings and you will call these the Original Teachings and when you come back together with each other you will share these so that you can live and have peace on earth, and a great civilization will come about." -- Lee Brown, 1986
The design for the S.U.N. Center is based on an ancient symbol that represents the unification of the four races as a significant indicator of the prophesied completion of the Sacred Hoop and Great Wheel of Life, in balance with the Creator and Creation.:
Showing a circle with an equal cross, this symbol represents the medicine wheel with its four colors, four directions, four elements and four root races. Around the inside of the circle are 12 smaller circles, three in each quadrant, that equal 12. The 12 circles around the outer rim of the medicine circle have many significant meanings, such as a Council of 12 Sages or the gathering of the12 tribes.
The S.U.N. Center is intended to provide the prophesied location and support for an evolutional synthesis of all cultural heritages, including the humanitarian arts, sciences and religions from around the world. The S.U.N. Center architectural design is based on 12 domes forming an outer circle that is surrounding a large central dome for gatherings in the center.
The S.U.N. Center will be designed as an ‘off the grid’ demonstration, with a commitment to onsite, zero-pollution production of all energy requirements and onsite, zero-pollution disposal/re-use of all waste products. A self-sufficient, sustainable eco-community demonstration is planned nearby to support and interface with the S.U.N. Center that will showcase alternative architecture, advanced organic growing systems and state-of-the-art, eco-technologies.
